To become a MEMBER of LEBCONNECTION and use the services of the LEBCONNECTION Website (the “Site”), you must read carefully the present general Terms of Use and the Private Data Policy on the Site www.lebconnection.com, and accept them by ticking the boxes “I accept the general Terms of Use” and “I accept the Private Data Policy”.
By becoming a MEMBER of LEBCONNECTION, you agree to comply with the present general Terms of Use and with the Private Data Policy.
The LEBCONNECTION Site is mainly dedicated to the Lebanese community and its interests around the world, enabling its MEMBERS to establish contact with other users, to develop networks, and to exchange information mainly concerning professional plans, employment and housing offers. The Site provides an internal e-mail tool and incorporated search engines. The Site is neither political nor religious.
The present general Terms of Use and Private Data Policy shall govern the relationships between the MEMBER and LEBCONNECTION. The contract between LEBCONNECTION and you (as a MEMBER) will be effective for an indeterminate period of time starting at the date of your registration as a MEMBER, in accordance with article 1 of the general Terms of Use.

1.1 In order to become a MEMBER, you must be at least 18 years old on the registration day and have filled the mandatory fields of the online registration form. At the end of the registration process, you will receive a welcoming message on the valid e-mail address registered.
1.2 You must register using your real name. You should not use pseudonyms or pen names. The nature of the data collected during the registration process and the objective of this collect are specified in the Private Data Policy.
1.3 During the registration, you must choose a password which shall remain strictly confidential. You shall not communicate and/or share your password with anyone. You are the only person authorized to use this password in order to access the Site and its services.
1.4 You are liable for any use of your username and password by a third party and will bear all the consequences resulting from the acts committed using your username and/or your password. In case of a dispute, data recorded by LEBCONNECTION’s servers will prevail.
2.1 You acknowledge and agree that the role of LEBCONNECTION merely consists in providing a platform permitting the exchange of information and offers. LEBCONNECTION hosts the MEMBERS’ offers and information but does not take part in any communication between users. If users enter into agreements with one another over the LEBCONNECTION Site, LEBCONNECTION shall not be a contracting party to these agreements. The users alone are responsible for the execution and/or the fulfillment of agreements in which they may enter into. LEBCONNECTION is not liable for any breach of undertaking and/or contract entered into by MEMBERS.
2.2 You shall use the Leb-mail tool provided by the Site in order to communicate with other MEMBERS, and shall be personally liable for any misuse.
2.3 LEBCONNECTION does not give any warranties regarding either the authenticity and/or accuracy of the offers posted on the Site by MEMBERS, or the quality and/or reliability of the MEMBERS, projects and goods posted online. LEBCONNECTION does not give any warranties regarding the MEMBERS’ identity: the identity or status of a MEMBER can be different from the one registered on the Site. MEMBERS must perform a reasonable check to ensure the reliability and the quality of the offers and information posted by other MEMBERS.
2.4 Without limiting the scope of article 2.3, LEBCONNECTION has implemented a scanning tool in order to report to the administrator of the Site potential racist and/or insulting content. In addition, MEMBERS can signal any inappropriate content by clicking on the “inappropriate content” button, available on each page of offer posted on the Site and each MEMBER’s profile.
2.5 LEBCONNECTION is not liable for any potential hyperlink posted online by MEMBERS to the extent that LEBCONNECTION cannot monitor linked websites. Therefore, LEBCONNECTION cannot be liable for any content, advertising, product, service or any other element available on or from those websites. Any unlawful or inappropriate linked content must be submitted to the administrator and/or webmaster of the relevant website. The consultation and/or the use of websites and external sources are governed by their own “conditions of use”.
2.6 LEBCONNECTION is not liable for posted advertisings, only their authors are. LEBCONNECTION is therefore not liable for any prejudice or loss resulting from potential advertisings.
3.1 You agree to use the Site in compliance with all the applicable legislation and with the present general Terms of Use. You agree in particular:
- To provide true and non-misleading statements (in the registration form and in communication with other users);
- To update regularly the information on your account;
- To register only once, and to hold at any time only one MEMBER profile;
- Not to collect, store, make available, reveal, and/or broadcast the information or content available on the Site such as other MEMBERS’ personal data;
- Not to harm, in any way, other MEMBERS and keep polite and reverent. You agree not to harass, insult or threaten another MEMBER. You shall not send more than 50 e-mail per day using the Leb-mail tool;
- Not to post, promote, offer and distribute or broadcast, in any way,
- libelous, insulting, religious, political, racist, obscene, pedophile, pornographic, inciting to racial hate or to violence content and, in general, content not compliant with the applicable laws;
- Content which affects property rights of others, including intellectual property (such as authors’ rights, registered trade marks, patents, pictures and models).
- Not to insert on the Site or in the e-mail sent to other MEMBERS, hyperlinks to the abovementioned unlawful content;
- Not to use LEBCONNECTION for political or religious propaganda;
- Not to block, overload, modify or copy contents from the Site, unless it is necessary to the proper use of the services provided by the Site. For instance, using a gather robot (Crawler) or any similar process, to research information on the Site is not necessary for the proper use of the Site and is therefore not allowed;
- Not to perform any action which may impair the operability of LEBCONNECTION’s infrastructure and, in particular, hinder the performance of the said infrastructure.
3.2 You are invited to report any activity/content which is inappropriate or not compliant with the present Terms of Use (including the use of a pseudonym or a false identity),by clicking on the “signal an inappropriate content” icon, made available on each offer page and on each MEMBER’s profile.
3.3 If you are a professional seller, you must comply with the incumbent legal obligations, such as the laws on distance selling.
4.1 Offers
4.1.1 You may publish your own offers online, and access those of other MEMBERS. The offers relate to the following restrictive fields: (i) housing, (ii) projects (commercial, financial, cultural) and (iii) employment. The MEMBERS can only publish offers with relation to these limitative fields.
4.1.2 You shall be liable for the content of the offers you post. LEBCONNECTION shall not be liable for any content or offer published on the Site.
4.1.3 The offers posted on the Site will remain accessible for 90 days. They will be automatically deleted after this period of time. If an offer is not deemed valid anymore, you can inform us at anytime by using the “contact us” function.
4.2 Leb-mail and notification service
4.2.1 The Site provides its MEMBERS with an internal emailing solution (“Leb-mail”), allowing them to communicate with each other, and to receive information from LEBCONNECTION’s administrators.
4.2.2 Through the use of Leb-mail, LEBCONNECTION will be able to send you information regarding:
- The Site and its new functionalities;
- The Site’s life, the number of MEMBERS, the number of offers, the available services, etc…
- Other MEMBERS’ invitations and confirmations of your joining the network;
- Other MEMBERS’s requests to join your personal network;
- The answers to your offers;
- The launch of potential paying value added services;
- Any modification to the general Terms of Use.
4.2.3 Even when you are not connected to the Site and therefore to Leb-mail, you can remain informed by subscribing to a notification service. You will hence be informed on your personal e-mail address mentioned during your registration of:
- invitations, and confirmations of, your joining the network of other MEMBERS;
- other MEMBERS’s requests to join your personal network;
- the answers to your offers;
- When you receive a message on Leb-mail (whether the mail has been sent by another MEMBER or by LEBCONNECTION);
You shall benefit from the notification service as soon as you opt for it on the registration form by ticking the “I accept to receive email notifications from LEBCONNECTION” box. You can terminate your subscription at any time by clicking on the dedicated button accessible from “My account”.
4.3 Promotional offers
4.3.1 Subject to an express consent of yours during your subscription as a member (by ticking the appropriate box), LEBCONNECTION will be able to make you benefit from promotional offers from LEBCONNECTION or its partners.
4.3.2 You may terminate your subscription at any time by clicking on the dedicated button accessible from “My account”.
4.4 Search tools
4.4.1 The Site uses several search engines. These search engines can help you find other MEMBERS with similar interests or find offers corresponding to your declared needs and interests.
4.3.2 You may terminate your subscription at any time by clicking on the dedicated button accessible from “My account”.
5.1 LEBCONNECTION may decide to offer services subject to payment to its MEMBERS.
5.2 LEBCONNECTION will display on the home page of the Site the essential features of the subject to payment service offered, the minimal duration of the subscription for such service, its price and its payment terms.
5.3 If LEBCONNECTION decides to request a payment for initially free services (pursuant the abovementioned article 4), the Site will inform you of this decision at least one month in advance, by sending you a message to your personal registered e-mail address.
5.4 The decision to transform free services into subject to payment services will become effective one month after the notification, without prejudice of your right to cease being a MEMBER of the Site by clicking on the “contact us” icon, in accordance with article 11 of the present general Terms of Use.
5.5 A MEMBER may order subject to payment services on the home page of the Site, by clicking the “contact us” icon.
5.6 If you are a consumer, you will be able to cancel, without a motive or a penalty, the subject to payment services you ordered within 7 days following your order acceptance by LEBCONNECTION.
6.1 Within the framework of running the Site, LEBCONNECTION collects and processes personal data concerning its registered MEMBERS.
6.2 A contractual document available at www.lebconnection.com specifies the purposes of this process and the rights of the MEMBERS in relation with the data collected (Private Data Policy).
7.1 Even though LEBCONNECTION is doing everything to ensure the availability of the Site without interruption, you acknowledge and agree that it is technically impossible to achieve 100% availability of the LEBCONNECTION Site. Therefore, LEBCONNECTION cannot be held liable for any inconvenience resulting from bugs or interruptions, in particular due to maintenance, technical enhancements and updates.
7.2 You shall be responsible for the purchase of an appropriate equipment permitting to access the Site. LEBCONNECTION shall not be liable for any failure, impossibility to access and/or bad conditions of use resulting from inadequate equipment and/or malfunctioning internet connection, obstruction of the network, potential failure of the Site’s host or any other reason external to LEBCONNECTION.
7.3 The MEMBER waives any legal action against LEBCONNECTION, based upon any infringement of your image rights and respect of your right to privacy, resulting from the broadcasting or disclosure of personal information, provided that this broadcasting/disclosure did not arise from a breach of LEBCONNECTION contractual and/or legal obligations. You shall only disclose non confidential information which is not prejudicial to anyone, specifically to another MEMBER.
8.1 You shall indemnify and hold harmless LEBCONNECTION against all actions, including damage claims, infringement claims, privacy invasion claims, asserted by other MEMBERS or third parties, in connection with your use of the Site, your communication with other MEMBERS and/or the content you post on the Site. You shall bear all costs resulting from such claims (including LEBCONNECTION’s attorneys’ fees).
9.1 LEBCONNECTION cannot be held liable for any indirect damages, including any loss or damage to data, loss of profits, turnover, time or reputation suffered by the MEMBER in connection with your use of the Site.
9.2 In the event you suffer damages resulting from a breach by LEBCONNECTION of its obligations, the aggregate liability of LEBCONNECTION shall not exceed the higher of the following amounts:
- 100 euros; or
- The amount of the price paid by you for the concerned subject to payment services
10.1 LEBCONNECTION owns every intellectual property right in the texts, images, graphics and logos appearing on the Site. They cannot be copied, used or represented without LEBCONNNECTION’s special authorization.
10.2 MEMBERS are not allowed to modify, copy, reproduce, download, broadcast, transmit, exploit and/or distribute, by any way, services and pages provided by the Site otherwise than as required to benefit from the services supplied by the Site.
10.3 By using the Site, you agree that you grant LEBCONNECTION a license to use the content provided by you on the Site, for the purpose of displaying the content on the Site and enabling the services mentioned under articles 4 and 5 of the present Terms of Use. This license is worldwide and granted for a period of 10 years.
10.4 You acknowledge and agree that LEBCONNECTION may modify the content you post on the Site, in order to conform with the graphic charter of the Site and/or adapt your content to the technical performances and the charter of the Site.
11.1 LEBCONNECTION reserves the right to amend these general Terms of Use at any time, at its discretion. Every modification shall be notified to MEMBERS by Leb-mail at least a month before its effective date. The modification does not apply to the offers already posted on the Site at that time.
11.2 The modification shall become effective at the end of the one-month-period, without prejudice of your right to terminate the contract by clicking on the “contact us” icon.
12.1 A MEMBER can terminate his membership, at any time, without cause, by delivering a notice of termination (using the “contact us” function available on the Site). The notice of termination shall specify the MEMBER’s registered name and e-mail address recorded during its initial registration. The MEMBER account will be closed within 48 hours. Where the MEMBER subscribed for prepaid services, the termination, for any other reason than a breach of LEBCONNECTION, will not give ground to any refund.
12.2 LEBCONNECTION may terminate the contract with the MEMBER, at any time, subject to a prior notice of two months, notified by e-mail, to the registered e-mail address.
12.3 LEBCONNECTION may also automatically terminate the contract with the MEMBER, in the event that:
- The MEMBER does not comply with the applicable laws or promotes activities not compliant with the public order, including with respect to the protection of minors;
- The MEMBER fails to observe one of its contractual obligations, in particular these provided by the present Terms of Use;
- The participation of the MEMBERS to the Site harms the reputation of the services provided by LEBCONNECTION (e.g. the MEMBER has been convicted for criminal offense and the conviction is known by the other MEMBERS).
4.2.3 Even when you are not connected to the Site and therefore to Leb-mail, you can remain informed by subscribing to a notification service. You will hence be informed on your personal e-mail address mentioned during your registration of:
- invitations, and confirmations of, your joining the network of other MEMBERS;
- other MEMBERS’s requests to join your personal network;
- the answers to your offers;
- When you receive a message on Leb-mail (whether the mail has been sent by another MEMBER or by LEBCONNECTION);
In these cases, LEBCONNECTION reserves the right, at its option, to delete the content posted by MEMBERS, to send a warning notice and/or make impossible for the MEMBER to access the Site. Unless LEBCONNECTION deems that it takes the risk of being held liable for negligence pursuant the applicable laws, LEBCONNECTION shall notify beforehand any claim pursuant the present article 12.3 to the MEMBER, using Leb-mail and the MEMBER’s personal e-mail registered, and asking the MEMBER to remedy its breach within 8 calendar days.
13.1 The present general Terms of Use are governed by the Lebanese law.
13.2 In case of litigation, courts of Beyrouth’s will have jurisdiction.
